My Bio
My name is Laura, and I live in New Zealand, the beautiful Land of the Long White Cloud. Three things I most love looking at are the open ocean, the wintered mountains, and the clear night sky. I also love art, and singing, and music, but above all I love stories; both reading and writing them; and I am trying to write a book. Fairytales particularly catch my eye, but I love beauty of any kind, and tales that illustrate the strength of the human spirit. And if there’s one thing I dream of becoming, it is a true, real, honest-to-goodness writer.

Ah, Lady Gaga's Born This Way gets better the more I listen to it. You know, it's really rather interesting to be following someone more famous, and more controversial than most people. Quite exciting anyway.
I can't exactly remember when I became so interested in her. I do remember why though. It was some months ago, one of my friends came back from Lady Gaga's Auckland concert saying it was so awesome. I asked her,
"Who's Lady Gaga?"
Which, naturally, provoked a delicious sort of shock in the form of raised eyebrows and a what-do-you-mean-who's-Lady-Gaga look in her eyes.

The holidays are over (*cries*) and my first exam is looming.
It's tomorrow actually, and I have to write three essays and answer some questions about some poems and prose static images ... and I should be studying. Yes, I should be, but it's so hard. Oh well, I have a few hours left.
So what have I been doing these last few months?
A bit of work, a bit of study. Mostly writing and reading.

Yesterday was such a good day for me. I thought I'd lost all my work on my missing USB but my teacher had it!! I'd been praying for it, and I just want to say how wonderful God is for answering my prayer and being there for me when I needed it so much. In any case, I will hold this incident in my heart as a testament to God's amazing love and mercy, even in small, seemingly insignificant things such as this.
And aside from this, I got home and received an e-mail saying that,
'zancan Has Given You a deviantART Premium Membership!‏'
oh my gosh ... like how crazily super cool is that?
